How do metering pumps work?

A metering pump is responsible for injecting a fluid in small quantities with precise control of the dosed volume.

The dosing pump is characterized as one of the most important elements for the operation of modern industry, especially because its main function is to distribute the different liquids used to manufacture a product.

In order to select a pump, the chemical compatibility of the pump materials with the substance to be dosed must be taken into account, because if this is not done correctly, the life time or the correct operation of our equipment will be affected.

The operation of the dosing pumps is based on the suction of a certain volume of liquid, which is defined by the displacer. Subsequently, the liquids are directed towards the dosing pipe, all at an incredible pressure, which allows the liquids to be distributed accurately and uniformly.

Metering pumps are very important for water treatment, especially because thanks to them it is possible to supply the right chemicals in the flow of water to be treated and thus turn it into a liquid suitable for the production processes of industries.
